It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Lois Gagnon, age 91, on May 12, 2024.
Lois was born in Fort William on June 11, 1932. She had many interests over the years including her family, nursing, volunteer work, her work with special needs people, Chippewa, camping, curling, and Al-Anon.
Lois will be deeply missed by her daughter Wendy (Allan), son Rory. Grandchildren: Jason (Michelle), Ryan, Samantha, Adam, Terra, Cory (Lindsay), Craig (Jocelyn), Keltie (Joe) and Kortnie. Great grandchildren: Brad, Savannah, Anika, Ariel, Hailey, Callan, Nash, Isla, Ben, Charlie, Juliette and Max. Siblings Marilyn Gregory and Larry Deveraux (Lois). Predeceased parents George and Agnes Breckman, her sons Rick and Randy Macleod, granddaughter Whitney, Joe Gagnon, Max Kelland and the father of her children Angus Macleod.
As per Lois's wishes, she has been cremated and a Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, June 1, 2024 at the Westfort Prosvita Hall, 721 West Gore Street, Thunder Bay from Noon til 3:00 pm. Should friends desire, donations may be made to Wesway at 807-623-2353.
