Louwrens Dingemanse

It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Louwrens Dingemanse, on January 22,2021, peacefully in his home.

Louwrens was born in Grijpskerke, Netherlands on April 27, 1928 to Johannes and Catherina Cijvat-Dingemanse. Louwrens, or Lou, was an avid gardener, enjoying both his vegetable garden outside and sharing his bountiful “bloemen” inside, eagerly pointing out the many flowers that each plant produced. Lou’s life’s work was on the dairy farm that he, his wife and son ran and he always was found fixing up the farm equipment. Lou enjoyed getting out to the Rural 60+ center when he was able to tinker in the wood room on one of his many projects or play a game on the computer to wind down from the day. Lou was a skilled craftsman when it came to anything wooden, be it beautiful animal puzzles for his grandchildren or larger pieces of furniture for his home. Lou had a quiet, mischievous presence about him which would cause him to tease smiles out of his wife, son, grand- and great- grandchildren.

He is lovingly remembered by his wife Tanny, son Bill (Marylin), grandchildren Katherine (Ken) Prenger, Jesse Dingemanse, Natalie (Curt) Mill, Daniel (Stephanie) Dingemanse and his nine great-grandchildren. Lou is also survived by his siblings Pieternel Dingemanse-Jobse, Koos Dingemanse-Ridderbos and Frans Dingemanse. Louwrens is predeceased by his parents Johannes and Catherina, as well as his brothers Cor, Piet and Jo Dingemanse and his sister Francien Dingemanse-van Sluijs.

The funeral will be live streamed Friday, January 29th on the Blake Funeral Chapel Facebook page. There will be a visitation, Thursday, January 28th, but due to Covid restrictions the family has requested that you contact Natalie Mill by Wednesday, January 26 by 4:30 pm, to receive a visitation time.
