Lucas Emmet Dubray was born May 6th, 2015 at 9:48 pm at Mt. Sinai Hospital in Toronto, Ontario.
After courageously losing his battle with Congenital Diaphragmatic Hernia (CDH), Lucas earned his wings while in the arms of his parents at Sick Kids Hospital in Toronto, Ontario on May 7th, 2015.
Lucas is the son of Ricki Lynn Parmeter and Kevin Dubray and is survived by his siblings Kaylen, Jessalyn, and Jaci Dubray, Maternal Grandparents; Allan and Michele Randle, Richard Parmeter, Paternal Grandparent; Evelyn (Micky) Woods, and many Aunts, Uncles, and Cousins.
Since the day Lucas was diagnosed with CDH his journey has touched the heart of countless people. He was a fighter from the beginning having undergone two surgical procedures before taking his first breath and courageously fought until he earned his wings.
A heartfelt thank you goes out to every single person who supported Lucas and his family during this difficult Journey. To the staff of Mt. Sinai, particularly Dr. Greg Ryan and Dr. Johannes Keunen and their team; we thank you for your exceptional care provided to Lucas and his family. To Dr. Peter Cox and his entire team at Sick Kids Hospital; we thank you for giving Lucas nothing but the best care in the world, as you promised.
A gathering of friends, family and supporters will take place at Calvary Lutheran Church (2820 Donald Street E) on Saturday May 16th, 2015 at 1:00pm with reception to follow at the Oliver Road Community Centre.
