It is with profound sadness we announce the peaceful passing of Lynn Devereaux on March 10, 2021 with his family at his side.

Lynn was born August 19, 1943 in Port Arthur, Ontario to Margaret and Robert Devereaux. He was a machinist by trade. A hardworking man, he did every job with precision. Lynn had many good friends who remained loyal to him as he was to them. His family and friends always knew they could depend on him. Whenever someone needed help Lynn would willingly go and help with whatever job needed to be done. He liked the challenge of fixing things and would come up with creative ideas to fix what most would think were a lost cause.

Lynn’s passion was racing. He was a pitman for Tom Nesbitt for many years, winning Pitman of the year – late model class in 1987 at Riverview raceway. Lynn travelled to racetracks every weekend all summer long for years and when Shara was born she went along with him and Sherry. As a doting father to Shara, when she got a bit older, Lynn’s racing vacations were tied into family vacations. Lynn, Sherry and Shara drove down to Florida in the winters in his motorhome to see races, to go to Theme parks, fairs, and visit with family and friends. Lynn played as hard as he worked until his health wouldn’t allow it anymore.

Lynn will be sadly missed by his wife Sherry; daughter Shara-Lynn; brother and sister-in-law Ron and Bev Edwards; brother-in-law Enos Favot, nephews Alan and Dan Devereaux, Kurtis Favot (Lindsay); and nieces Krista Favot, and Jennifer and Kim Edwards.

Lynn was predeceased by his parents Margaret Devereaux and Robert Devereaux; brother Scott and sister-in-law Joanne Devereaux; parents-in-law Madge and Jack Edwards; and sister-in-law Gail Favot.

Cremation has taken place with interment at a later date. Due to Covid restrictions a Celebration of Life will also be held at a later date.
