Mabel Elisabeth Hagberg

It is with heavy hearts that we say farewell to our beautiful mother, Mummu, Iso Mummu, Aunt and Great Aunt, who passed peacefully in her sleep on January 12, 2022 at the age of 84.

Mabel grew up in Pearson Township, which is now known as Neebing. It is there that she met Fred whom she was married to for 59 years. Through their mutual love for the outdoors, they spent many summers making memories with close friends and family at Clearwater (Smurfs Ville), Mountain and Kuppa Lake to name a few. Of the various occupations she had throughout her life, the most fulfilling one was that of mother to her 3 children, Mummu to her 9 grandchildren, and Iso Mummu to her adored 19 great grandchildren. She always looked forward to their visits where she received many hugs and kisses.

Mabel is survived and will be deeply missed by her sons: Darcy and Darren; daughter Shelley Robinson (Stephen), grandchildren; Jamie (Adriane), Michele (Pierre), Charlie, Micole (Dan), Taimi (Justin), Tamara (Neil), Kaija (Simon), Megan (Dustin), Dallas and 19 great grandchildren.

She is also survived by brother-in-law’s; Art, Ken (Jean), sister-in-law’s; Irma (Clyde), Arlene and Verna, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Mabel is predeceased by the love of her life of 59 years Fred (2018). Also, her parents Antti and Aino Oinonen, brothers; Arnold (Elna), Weikko (Lila), Ted (Thelma), Oiva (Mabel), Edwin (Irija) and sister Toini (Esko).

A special thank-you to Mom’s niece Myrtle, who was always by mom’s side when we couldn’t be there, you had a special place in her heart.

Our family would also like to extend heartfelt thanks to all the staff at St. Joseph’s Care Group.

Cremation has taken place and a private celebration of life will be held at a later date.
