Dale passed away peacefully on May 11, 2016, after a lengthly battle with cancer.
A strong willed, private person, Dale enjoyed family dinners, gardening, sitting in front of the fireplace, gazing out at the lake, and especially her dog Breezy.
Dale had an uncanny knack for home decorating, as she was blessed with the ability to visualize completed renovations before they were started. Dale and Ron travelled to Florida for several winters where they spent many a “Happy Hour” with their friends. She greatly appreciated the flowers, cards, meals, visits, and phone calls, from friends, neighbours, and relatives.
Dale is survived by her husband Ron, sister Donna Tront, Brother Wayne (Laurie) Hook, sister-in-law Barbarann Wronoski, many nieces and nephew. She was predeceased by her parents Wally and Laura Hook, sisters Diane Treitz and Debbie Martinuzzi, Brothers-in-law Leon Wronoski and David Tront. As per Dale’s wishes, cremation has taken place, and a private gathering of family and friends will take place at a later date. Donations to Thunder Bay Therapeutic Riding, or Thunder Bay and District Humane Society would be appreciated.
Dale Thompson will be remembered in the Blake Funeral Chapel Memorial Grove. Annual dedication service Sunday, June 11, 2017.
