Mrs. Margaret Ellen Krejcik, age 67 years, of Thunder Bay, passed away peacefully in Bethammi Nursing Home on April 3, 2017.
She was born in Fort William on November 21, 1949 to parents Edna and Frank Volk and she grew up on East Mary Street along with her younger sister Karen. Margaret attended Hyde Park Elementary School and enjoyed spending time with family and friends. In her youth, she worked as a babysitter, then started work at Dairy Queen, followed by a full-time position at McKellar Hospital as a Switchboard Operator. She enjoyed traveling, eating at restaurants, shopping, laughing and loving life.
Margaret will be sadly missed and remembered by her son Michael, daughter Rachael, former husband Richard, grandchildren Corey Krejcik and Brady Krejcik, as well as sister Karen Grootenboer.
Visitation for family and friends will be held on Thursday, April 6, 2017 from 3:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. at the Harbourview Funeral Centre, 499 North Cumberland Street.
A Graveside Funeral Service will follow on Friday, April 7, 2017 at Sunset Memorial Gardens, 3200 Oliver Road, beginning at 11:00 a.m.
