It is with broken hearts we announce the passing of our beautiful mom, mother-in-law, baba, great-baba, and friend Maria Wielobob.

Mom passed away peacefully May 6th just 19 days before her 99th birthday. Mom made the journey to Canada with her family at age 11. She often spoke of her trip over on the boat. She was proud and happy to be a Canadian, but never forgot her Ukrainian roots. Displayed with her delicious meals of perogies, cabbage rolls, borscht, and many more. She was very happy she was able to travel back to her homeland twice. Mom was happiest when she was gardening (the last years garden supervisor) spending time with family and friends, cooking, watching and listening to the birds, sitting outside, she loved all things nature. On a sunny summer day she would sit outside for hours with her baby girl “Bailey” (grandog). We will miss her so very much, but will be forever grateful we were blessed to have her for so many wonderful years.

Predeceased by husband Joseph Wielobob, son Edward Wielobob, son-in-law Bill Cole, and great grandson Michael Jabs. Survived and forever loved by daughters Josie Karschti (Mike), grandchildren Angela Baish (John) & family, Michael Karschti (Norina) & family, Rose Furness Cole, sons Henry Wielobob (Pat), grandchildren Jennifer, Cameron, Lorraine & families, Robert Wielobob (Roxanne), grandog Bailey, and granddaughter Lisa Smylie & family. Her extended family, you all know who you are! She loved you all. Rest in peace.
