Ms. Marie McLaughlin (nee Comegan), age 72 years, passed away peacefully on Friday, November 13, 2015 in Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre, with her family by her side.
Marie was born on September 6, 1943 in Rainy River, Ontario. She dedicated her life to raising her family, which was most important to her. Marie enjoyed walking, bowling and roller-skating, when her health allowed. She also loved scrap-booking, playing Bingo and reading Gossip magazines. Marie was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend and will be truly missed by all who knew her.
Marie is survived by her children, Clifford, Alison (Patrick) and Jason; grandchildren Brayden, Tristan and Kyla; siblings Agnes, Albert, Elizabeth, James, Brenda, Bernadine, Rhonda, Audrey and Noel as well as numerous nieces, nephews, in-laws, cousins and friends.
She was predeceased by her parents, James and Laura (nee Adams) Comegan; her infant son, Derek; siblings Stanley, Sharon, Ronnie and other relatives.
Funeral Services for the late Ms. Marie McLaughlin will be held on Friday, November 20, 2015 at 11:30AM at the Big Grassy First Nation Community Hall. Interment will follow in Morson Cemetery. Should friends so desire, donations made in memory of Marie to the Canadian Diabetes Association or Heart and Stroke Foundation would be greatly appreciated.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Westfort Chapel, 420 West Gore Street at James.
