Mrs. Marie Moggey, age 61 years, passed away peacefully in Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre on Saturday, March 19, 2022 with her family by her side.
Marie was born on July 5, 1960 in Geraldton, Ontario and was a member of Long Lake #58. She was proud of her Native heritage. Marie worked as the Office Manager at Bay City Energy. She enjoyed the outdoors, especially fishing and camping. She loved to cook and entertain relatives and friends in her happy place, the backyard patio around a fire. Marie also enjoyed travelling, spending winters with Wayne in Arizona and going back to Scotland numerous times. Above all else, Marie's passion was her family. She was our rock and will be truly missed by all.
Marie is survived by her loving husband of 33 years, Wayne; children, Joey, Jason, Norman, Danny, Linda, Bobby and Tracy; grandchildren, Macayla “Mikey”, Devin “Boyko”, Jord-Ann “George”, Jeffrey, Sarah and great-grandchildren, Ava “Frankie” and Avery as well as other grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her siblings, Jimmy, Faye, John, and Allyson and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
She was predeceased by her parents James and Gladys Howe as well as numerous aunts and uncles.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, March 26, 2022 at 2:30pm in the WESTFORT CHAPEL, 420 West Gore Street at James. For those unable to attend the service, a video recording will be available on the Everest of Thunder Bay website on Sunday.
Should friends so desire, in lieu of flowers donations made in her memory to the Northern Cancer Fund (payable to TBRHSF) would be greatly appreciated.
