Mario Vozila

Mario Vozila, age 88 years, passed away on May 10, 2021 at Hogarth Riverview Manor.

Mario was born September 7, 1932 in Plomin Istria, Italy (Croatia). Mario immigrated to Canada in 1961, became a Canadian Citizen in 1965 and settled in Port Arthur. Employed as a bush worker for Great Lakes Paper Company for 31 years, he retired in 1996. He enjoyed fishing, socializing at the dances and especially travelling to Croatia to visit family, and to Mexico during winter months.

Mario will be sadly missed by his sisters Anna and Marija, numerous nieces and nephews, and the many friends he made along the way, including Bernice.

Mario is predeceased by his parents Mate and Marija, sister Milka, brothers Joseph, Tony and Ivan, and dear friend Carol.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, May 14, 2021 in the Chapel of Harbourview Funeral Centre presided by Rev. Victor De Gagne of Corpus Christi Church. Due to Covid 19 restrictions, in-person attendance will be by invitation only.

Interment will follow at St. Andrew’s Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to Hospice Northwest would be greatly appreciated.
