Marion Bois aged 93 passed away peacefully at the TBRHSC on August 15, 2020. Marion was born on April 7, 1927 to Isaiah and Maria Ooshag on the family’s trapline. Marion was the second youngest of 12 children. She spent her young life living on the trapline until she met her husband, Robert Bois. Marion and Robert were married for 64 years until his passing in 2000. Marion and Robert settled in Eabametoong where they raised 6 biological children, Stanley Bois, Clara Missewace, Caroline Bois, Martha Papah, Roy Bois, and Lorna Bois, as well as 3 stepchildren, Gordon Bois, Charlotte Meeseetawageesic, and Julie Moonias. Marion also fostered numerous children and held the Yesno family close to her heart. Marion was a "Kitchi- Gogo" (Great-great grandmother) and she was loved by her many grandchildren. Marion will also be missed by her many nieces and nephews and other extended family members.

Marion was baptized in the Anglican Church and she remained devoted to the Church until her passing. Marion enjoyed singing from her Ojibway hymn book and her favourite song to sing was "Jesus keep me near the Cross". Marion lived a full life doing the things she enjoyed such a beading, crafting and spending time outdoors. Marion was a kind and loving Gogo, she always had a smile for everyone. Marion shared her teachings and wisdom with those she loved. Her quick wit and sense of humour will be missed by her grandchildren whom she shared much laughter with.

Marion is predeceased by her husband Robert Bois, her Stepson Gordon Bois, her Stepdaughter Julie Moonias and her Grandson Perry Bois.

Marion was the oldest living resident of Eabametoong First Nation and was well known and loved by the community. The family of Marion Bois is thankful for all the condolences and words of comfort during this difficult time.
