Marion Elizabeth Kawahara, age 56 years, passed away peacefully with family by her side at St. Joseph’s Hospice on Monday, March 6, 2017 after a courageous battle with cancer.
Marion was born in Port Arthur on May 25, 1960, the daughter of John and Rachel Logan. A lifetime resident, she worked as a Recreational Therapist at local homes for the aged. She loved her work and the people that she worked with. She enjoyed camping, fishing, knitting, gardening and spending time with her friends.
Marion was a loving and caring person who appreciated the simple pleasures in life, especially spending time with family whom she loved dearly. She will be lovingly remembered and dearly missed by her husband George, children Kyle (Julia) Kawahara and Laura (Francis Idehen) Kawahara, grandson Zaden, brothers George (Charlotte) and Duncan (Nora) Logan as well as by numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives. She was predeceased by her parents John and Rachel Logan.
A memorial service to celebrate the life of Marion Kawahara will be held on Friday, March 10, 2017 at 2:30 p.m. in the Sargent & Son Funeral Chapel, 21 N. Court Street, with Rev. Diane Matson presiding. Memorial visitation for friends will be held on Thursday from 6-8 p.m. in the Sargent Family Reception Centre.
