Marjorie passed away peacefully with family by her side on Wednesday, Dec. 11, 2013 at the age of 86 years.
She was predeceased by her husband Mike in 1991 and brother James Lawrance in 2008. Marj will be lovingly remembered by her children Dan (Vivanne), Ruth (Terry) Smith, John (Treena Gibson) and Deborah; grandchildren Mitch and Marcus Matthew, Shallon Smith (Cameron Landreth), Terri, Jonathan (Janelle Dagg) and Jordan Smith, Shara and Terry Matthew; great grandsons Peirce Landreth and Mason Messing; brother Andy (Sylvia) Lawrance and sister-in-law Ruth Lawrance.
Marjorie gave of herself throughout her life because of her love for the Lord. She had a lifelong love of children which was evidenced by her devotion to family and her involvement with Child Evangelism Fellowship and Redwood Park Alliance Sunday School.
Marj’s favorite pastimes were being in her garden and having a cup of tea with a friend. A funeral service will be held at Jenkens Funeral Home, 226 South Syndicate Avenue, Thunder Bay, Ont., on Friday, Dec. 20, 2013 at 3 p.m. officiated by David Stezenko.
A viewing for family and friends will take place at Jenkens Funeral Home on Thursday, Dec. 19, 2013 from 7 to 9 p.m.
