It is with great sadness that the family of Marlene Hoard announces her passing on Thursday, November 8, 2018 at TBRHSC with her family by her side.
Marlene was born in Port Arthur, Ontario on September 10, 1938, and married the love of her life, Nelson, on June 4, 1955. Over their 65 years of marriage, they enjoyed many adventures together, most of all, being together camping.
Marlene is survived by and will be sadly missed by her husband Nelson and their 4 daughters: Corinne (Al), Melanie (Terry), Shirley, and Wendy (Dave), and many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
Marlene was predeceased by her father and mother Willard and Margarette Hickin and her brother Ronald Hickin.
Many thanks to the nursing staff in palliative care and Dr. Taha and Dr. Blonde for their care and compassion. Special thanks to nurse Jenn for the crackers and cookies she provided the family.
A small gathering will be held for family and close friends at Harbourview Funeral Centre on Saturday, November 17, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. with Memorial Services presided by Rev. Ed Long.
