Marty Monast

The family of Marty Monast sadly announces his passing on Saturday, July 11 after a lengthy and courageous battle with liver disease.

He leaves behind his loving mother, Winnie Monast and daughter, Sacha (Raoul), sister Annette (Ken) and their sons, Wallace and Kenny (Megan and Quinn). Marty is also survived by his loving companion, Pauline and her three daughters, Rhonda (Trevor), Julia and Kelly (Mike) and their children.

He was predeceased by his father, Joseph Monast, stepfather, Luis Pompe and brother, Don. Marty was passionate about giving new life to neglected and found items.

He was well loved in his community and will be missed by his many friends, especially Richard and family. We would like to thank Dr. Webster for his years of devoted care, as well as the many kind nurses and doctors who treated him in Toronto and Thunder Bay.

The family would like to invite his friends to a reception honouring Marty at the Kaministiquia Community Centre on Sunday, July 19th from 2 to 4 p.m.
