Mary Balanchuk passed peacefully at St. Mary's of the Lake on Tuesday, September 29, 2015 in her 91st year.
She is predeceased by her parents Sydor & Anna Balanchuk, brothers John & Michael Balanchuk. She is survived by her loving sister Stephanie Patterson. She will be dearly missed by her extended family and friends.
Retired Professor Emerita of Department of Psychology, Faculty of Education, Board of Trustee's for Queen's University & Past President of the Queen's Women Association.
Family and friends will be received at the Jenkens Funeral Home, 226 S. Syndicate Ave., Thunder Bay on Wednesday, October 7, 2015 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 11:00 a.m. Final place of rest Mountain View Cemetery. Reception to follow.
