Cherie Begin, aged 71 passed away peacefully on April 9th, 2018 with family by her side. Cherie was born in Fort William Ontario on March 7, 1947 to her parents Alfred and Thelma Begin. She attended St. Marys’ Elementary School and St. Patrick's H.S and then went on to a career in Nursing that she found both fulfilling and rewarding. Cherie was dearly loved by her many family and friends and brightened people’s lives with her humour and quick wit. She possessed a talent for writing and touched many people with her words and ability to say just the right thing when it mattered the most.
Cherie is survived by her brother Reg Begin, sister Carroll Tremblay, daughter Shawna Zimmer and sons Robert Turner and Trevor Roberts. She will be dearly missed by her many grandchildren Jordan, Warren, Sian Lynne, Krista, Cora, Robert Jr., Jacob, Seth, Joseph and Xavier.
A Celebration of Life will be held at the Airlane Hotel on Saturday April 14th, 2018 starting at 11 A.M.
Contributions can be made in lieu of flowers to the Arthritis Society.
Cherie Begin will be remembered in the Blake Funeral Chapel Memorial Grove. Annual dedication service Sunday, June 9, 2019.
