Mrs. Mary Madigan (nee Campbell), age 83 years, passed away peacefully in hospital with family by her side on Friday, September 25, 2015.

Mary was born in Marks Township on May 13, 1932, and remained in Thunder Bay her entire life. In her earlier years, she worked in a bakery and later for the Red Cross as a homemaker until she retired in 1992. Mary married the love of her life Daniel Madigan in 1952. She was a 50 year member of the Catholic Women’s League and also enjoyed going to luncheons and dinners with the St. Andrew Parish community. She enjoyed her home, going to lunch on Thursdays with friends Jo, Aileen, Eleanor and Karen, and spending time with her family.

Mary will be sadly missed by her son David Madigan and daughter Kathleen (Slavko) Huterer, her grandchildren Matthew Madigan, Danielle and Alexandra Huterer, her brothers Alan (Georgina) Campbell, Ralph (Barb) Killins, her sisters Evelyn Otto, Shirley McKenzie, Linda (Donnie) Tienhaara, Betty (Ronnie) Murphy, Karen (Douglas) Robinson, Colleen (Paul) Bubiak and sister-in-law Jo Madigan, and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives also survive.

Mary was predeceased by her parents, Manson and Orpha, her husband, Daniel, her son, Daniel, her brothers William, Malcolm, and her sisters Ilene Davis and Della Campbell.

Funeral services for the late Mrs. Mary Madigan will be held on Thursday, October 1, 2015 with family and friends gathering in St. Andrew's R.C. Church, 292 Red River Road at Algoma, for the Resurrection Mass at 10:00 am celebrated by Father Antonio Fujarczuk. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens. Visitation for family and friends will be held on Wednesday, September 30 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm in the EVEREST FUNERAL CHAPEL, 299 Waverley Street at Algoma, with Vigil Prayers offered at 7:00 pm.
