Mary McEwan (Drombolis) aged 87 years, passed away peacefully at Hogarth Riverview Manor, with family by her side on Wednesday, February 24, 2016. 

Mary was born and raised in Fort William. She attended local schools. Mary met and married the love of her life, Jim McEwan.

They lived and raised their family locally. Mary devoted her entire life to her family including husband, children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and numerous close relatives and friends.

Over the years she was actively involved in the Greek community, especially the Greek Girls Club.  Mary was predeceased by her husband James; parents Charles and Effie Drombolis, siblings Kaliroy, Marino, Alex, Thomas and Paul.

She is survived by daughter Cathy (Bill) Pilot, son Frank (Judy); grandchildren Jason (Heather), Ghislaine (Sjoerd), Jamie (Kelly), Kathryn and Robert; and great grandchildren Carter, Ella, Femke, Mia, Allie, Ben and Liam.  Friends and family will gather at St. Elizabeth Church for the Funeral service celebrated by Rev. Rey Ronquillo on Monday, February 29, 2016 at 1:00 pm.

A private family interment will follow.  If friends desire, memorials to CNIB, St. Joseph’s Foundation, or the charity of their choice would be appreciated.

Mary McEwan will be remembered in the Blake Funeral Chapel Memorial Grove.  Annual dedication service Sunday, June 11, 2017.
