It is with the most profound sadness that Sheila and Mark announce the passing of their dear Mother, Baba and friend. Mrs. Mary Valentino age 86 years passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Tuesday, March 07, 2017, at McCausland Hospital.

Mary was born on April 30, 1930, in Sault Ste Marie, Ontario to John and Annie Wiznuk.  Early in her childhood, she and her family moved to Franz where they owned the Franz Hotel.  Here Mary worked as a Chambermaid and Bookkeeper for the family business. In 1956, Mary married the love of her life, Aldo Valentino, with whom she would spend the next 56 years of her life with until his passing in 2013.  For a short time they resided in Coldwell and then continued their journey to Sudbury and finally to Schreiber in 1964 where they stayed and raised their family.  Mary worked at Costa's Foodateria in Schreiber until 1967. Here she worked and became very good friends with Mrs. Costa, Gina & Joe Commisso and Teresa & Cosimo Commisso who remained very close friends until her passing.

As her children grew up, Mary worked at Holy Angels Catholic School as a Custodian.  There she became good friends with Sister Grexton, Harold Shack, Tony Speziale and Kelly Molinski (Chisholm). You could always see Mary walking up to Mark's garage with Digger Dog on a daily basis and more recently with Toby Dog. She spent the winter months shoveling snow.

Mary is survived by her daughter Sheila (Jamie) son Mark (Barb) and granddaughter Faith.  Also, survived by her granddog Bentley and special close friends Mary Huard and Dolores O'Connor. Mary is predeceased by her husband Aldo Valentino and her parents John & Annie Wiznuk.

Vigil prayers will be held Sunday, March 12, 2017 at 7:00 pm at Holy Angels Roman Catholic Church.  A resurrection mass will be held Monday, March 13, 2017, at 11:00 am also at Holy Angels Roman Catholic Church with interment to follow at the Schreiber Cemetery.  As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Holy Angels Catholic Church Building Fund or the Heart & Stroke Foundation.
