Mary Zack

Mrs. Mary Zack age 86 years, a resident of Thunder Bay, passed away in Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre, on Saturday, November 18, 2017, after a brief illness with her family by her side.

Mary was a lifetime resident of the city, spending most of her life in the East End. She worked alongside her husband John at the family grocery store. She was a longtime member of St. Peter’s Church and the Catholic Womens League.

Mary is survived by her sons David (Judy) and Allan (Cheryl), grandchildren Michael Zack (Jenna), Lee Pagee (Kristi), sister Cecile Otto, brother-in-law Peter Zack, great grandchildren Mckenna and Bennett Zack and Brady Pagee. Nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive. She was predeceased by her parents Joseph and Julia Chimbora, her husband John, daughter Linda Bascello, brothers-in-law Steve Zack and Errol Otto. 

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, November 22, 2017, when family and friends will gather for Funeral Mass at 1:30pm at St. Peter's Church celebrated by Rev. Joseph Arockiam, followed by a reception in the church hall. Visitation will take place one hour prior to mass.If friends desire, memorials to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre Foundation would be appreciated.
