It is with heavy hearts that the family of Maureen Elizabeth Cooke (nee Bianco) announces her sudden passing on September 13, 2023 at the age of 56.
 
Maureen loved spending time in the kitchen, creating delicious meals for her family. Many weekends were spent out at camp relaxing by the fire with a book or on the boat fishing.
 
She loved to travel, be it long drives with her husband, trips to Caribbean resorts or an Alaskan cruise with her mother and sisters.
 
There were so many amazing moments in her life, especially the birth of her baby daughter Sydnie and her 5 grandchildren.
 
Maureen was a manager who worked in the food and retail industry in Thunder Bay and her management skills were well recognized by her employers and employees.
 
Maureen was survived by: her husband Victor; daughters Sydnie (Branden) Johnson , Destinee (Christopher) Heikkinen, and Kimberly (Lisa) Lester; grandchildren Madalyn, Violet, Grayson, Monica and Emma; mother Margaret Bianco; siblings Daniel (Arlene), Margaret Ann and Ramona (Ted);
sister-in-law Sandra; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
 
Maureen was predeceased by her father Daniel Bianco, brother Kenneth and grandparents John and Ramona Hacquoil.
 
Cremation has taken place.
 
A celebration of life will be held on Monday October 2, 2023 from 7-9pm at the Oliver Road Community Centre located at 563 Oliver Road.
