Mr. Michael Robert Caron, age 50 years of Thunder Bay, passed away in Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre on Thursday, Jan. 3, 2019.

Michael was born on Oct. 25, 1968 in Port Arthur. He had a passion for all aspects of music, from production, recording and playing. His latest venture was his band Kage, in which he took great pride. One of the highlights of his life was being able to travel to Abbey Road Studios in London, England to master some Kage songs. His 35 year career at Dougall Media brought him great joy working in IT, and with his co-workers.

He loved to read and spend quality time with his son Joshua and wife Christine. He was very outgoing, kind-hearted, laid back, always willing to lend a hand, and had a very dry sense of humour.

Michael is survived by his wife Christine; son Joshua; parents Judy and Don; brother Grant (Jackie); nephew Daniel; mother-in-law Victoria Brigo; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his uncle Joseph Caron; grandparents Dorothy and Cecil Caron, Art and Jessie Parry.

Funeral services for Michael Caron will be held on Thursday, Jan. 10, with family and friends assembling in St. Margaret's R.C. Church, Clayte Street for Funeral Mass at 11 a.m., celebrated by Father Ciaran Donnelly. Services complete in the church with cremation to follow. Visitation will be held Wednesday evening from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. in the church, with Vigil Prayers offered at 7 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Northern Cancer Fund; Northern Cardiac Fund; or St. Margaret's Church would be greatly appreciated.

Everest Funeral Chapel, 299 Waverley St. at Algoma, in care of arrangements.
