Michelle Jourdain

It is with immense sadness and heart break that we announce the sudden passing of our beautiful Michelle. Her radiant beauty that flowed inside and out will be deeply missed for the rest of our days.

Michelle held a special place in everyone’s heart. Most importantly she found great pride in her boys; Sache, Kingston, Kavyn and the love of her life Cole. Michelle was the best mother and her love and spirit will live on through her beautiful Family.

Michelle was a creative humorous loving soul who told stories with such detail. She was precise about her art work bringing her creativity to every aspect of her life, even her clothes and hair. With her sisters always saying “only Michelle could pull that off.” She was always patient with everyone, comforting and always knew what to say in every situation. Her fire and quick jokes would make you laugh out loud.

As a child Michelle was a champion swimmer and showed Olympic potential at a young age. She remained a strong swimmer and always loved being in the water. She was also a wonderful cook and took great pride in her cooking for her family.

Michelle was born in Fort Frances on January 22, 1984. She spent her childhood in Lac La Croix First Nation with her parents Andrew and Marietta and her younger brother Andrew “Pierre” Jourdain, then moved with her sisters Andrea and Courtney with their parents Leon and Elaine to Thunder Bay in 2000.

She was a wonderful aunt and dedicated to her numerous nephews and nieces. She mothered so many especially her niece Angel she also was so in love with her niece Ayanna, special Nephews Kai and Dustin. She’s survived by her grandmother May, numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Also, her loving in-laws Georgette, Les and the rest of the Onabigon Family whom she was very close with.

She will be greatly missed by everyone who has crossed paths with her and had the honour of knowing such a wonderful woman.

A wake will be held at 6PM Thursday, October 4, 2018. With a traditional funeral Friday morning October 5, 2018. All Services will be held at Jenkens Funeral Home.
