Mina May Miller, age 89 years, passed away peacefully surrounded by family at Pinewood Court on Friday, February 6, 2015.

Mina was born on March 20, 1925 in Shaunavon, Saskatchewan. She married Allan Miller in 1943 and together they raised 9 children. Mina dedicated her life to her family. She was deeply devoted to them and was very proud of her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Mina enjoyed ceramics, gardening, knitting, bowling, sewing and painting. She was very artistic and it showed through these hobbies. Mina had a passion for carpentry and loved helping remodel and build. She had a love of animals and often rescued birds as well as any other animal in need. Mina touched the hearts of everyone who knew her and she will be missed by all.

Mina is survived by her children Darrell (Joan) Miller, Bernita (Clarke) Rabideau, Dean (Alice) Miller, Lyndon (Cathy) Miller, Cecil (Karen) Miller, Lea Peterson (Bill Eves), Gordon (Tracy) Miller, Jan (Rosemary) Miller, and Cindy (Bob) Hill; 23 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren; siblings Flora, Elaine and Leslie. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

She was predeceased by her husband, Allan in 2008; parents, Samuel and Ada Pugh as well as numerous siblings.

The family would like to thank Dr. Steve Klassen and the staff at Pinewood Court – Hummingbird for their compassionate and exceptional care.

Funeral Services for Mina Miller will be held on Tuesday, February 10, 2015 at 7:00PM in the WESTFORT CHAPEL, 420 West Gore Street at James. Visitation for family and friends will be held one hour prior to service time. Private interment will take place in Sunset Memorial Gardens at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in memory of Mina to the Alzheimer Society through the funeral home or online at alzheimer.ca
