Mr. Mohamed Badi, age 51 years, a resident of Thunder Bay, passed away on February 4, 2015. Mohamed was born October 14, 1963, in Benghazi, Libya, to Aziza and Muftah Badi.
He came to Canada on a student scholarship and settled in Thunder Bay upon completion of his studies. Mohamed worked as a painter and after mastering the trade he eventually started his own painting company “Badi Painting”.
He accumulated an impressive list of clients with whom he developed many lifelong friendships. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends. When in his company, you were sure to enjoy a good story and a few laughs. Mohamed was known by many and loved by all. He touched the hearts of so many people in our community that it would be impossible to mention them all. He will be fondly remembered for his tremendous generosity and passionate and vivacious nature.
Lovingly remembered by his wife, Norma, children, Jonathon (Heather), Miriam, Adam and grandson, Blake. Also survived by brother Hani (Asma) and nieces and nephews Muftah, Mohamed, Malak, Malek and Maram in Thunder Bay as well as his mother and several brothers and sisters in Libya.
Predeceased by his father, Muftah Badi in 2003. Following a Private Family Interment, there will be a gathering at 4:00 p.m. on Friday, February 6, 2015 at the DaVinci Centre. If friends so desire, in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to T.B. Therapeutic Riding Association or T.B. Harbor Youth Services.
