It is a great sadness, we announce the passing of Ms. Alice Paulette Gursky on July 24, 2024. Alice was born April 22, 1946 in Fort William, Ontario. She was raised and lived in Thunder Bay all her life. She attended local schools graduating from Selkirk High School and worked locally retiring from Fitzimmons Foods. She was a dedicated member of the Church of Transfiguration.

She cherished her family, always helping out when she could, and making sure they never went hungry. She adored her great niece and nephews tremendously. She enjoyed shopping and spending time with her coffee friends at the mall, she was always the one to find the best bargains.

Alice is survived by her brother Victor Gursky, niece Deborah Christianson and husband Erik Christianson, niece Delaney Christianson, and great nephews Colin Ostrom, Mitchell Ostrom and Nathan Christianson. She is also survived by numerous other family members.

She was predeceased by her parents and Mary Gursky and Paul Gursky and sister-in-law Dianne Gursky.

We would like to thank the nurses at St. Joe’s Hospital, all the city bus drivers that helped her over the years in her travels, her friends at the mall and special friend Jerry, who helped her out when needed.

Celebration of life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donation can be made to the Canadian Liver Foundation.
