Nancy Goodwin died peacefully at the T.B.R.H.S.C. in the early morning of Saturday, October 15, 2016.

Born on October 13, 1942, family were happy that Nancy made it to see her 74th birthday.

Parents Albert and Daisy Slipperjack also bore (from oldest to youngest) Stanley Slipperjack (passed), Nancy Goodwin (passed), Walter Slipperjack Sr. (passed), Lena Goodwin, Arlene Slipperjack, Ruby Farrell, Clara Slipperjack (passed), Shirley Slipperjack and Samson Mesenegeeshik.

Nancy is survived by her husband Mark Goodwin, daughter Carla Shawayhamaish, granddaughter Bree Morrisseau and son Pearce Wastaken as well as by many nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives in Ontario and Manitoba.  White Water Lake, Ontario was Nancy’s main love.

She grew up there, playing in the sand, water and trees.

One of her favorite activities was to lay on the beach and pick up stones that appealed to her in color, shape and size.

She loved fishing, setting nets, camping, blueberry picking and moose hunting.  Nancy lived the traditional life and never forgot her parents’ teachings until she became sick with Alzheimer’s.

We will all miss her as she was such a wonderful, kind and loveable person.  We won’t forget her for the longest time.

Aservice to celebrate the life of Nancy Goodwin will be held on Friday, October 21, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. in the Sargent & Son Funeral Chapel, 21 N. Court Street.
