Mrs. Natalae “Nettie” Strain age 86 years, a resident of Thunder Bay, passed away in St. Joseph's Hospital, on Monday, July 4, 2016.

Nettie was born in Mink Creek Manitoba. She was married to Charles Strain and he predeceased her in 1992. She enjoyed travelling and cooking.

She made the best  perogies and buckwheat cabbage rolls. Nettie was a longtime member of St Agnes’ Church and the Catholic Womens League.

She is survived by her son Patrick of Thunder Bay, several nieces and nephews and longtime time family friend Duncan Martyn. 

Besides her husband Nettie was predeceased by her daughter Dianna Aho, parents Paul and Mary Sadoway, brothers Michael, Albert, Walter, Stephen, Alex, Victor and Lazar Sadoway  and sister Pat Good. 

Funeral services will be held on Friday, July  8, 2016, when family and friends will gather for Funeral Mass at 1:30pm, at St. Agnes' Church celebrated by Rev. Jerin Louis.  Interment will follow in Stanley Hill Cemetery. Visitation for friends will be held on Thursday from 6:00 to 8:00 pm in the Blake Funeral Chapel.  If friends desire, memorials to the charity of your choice would be appreciated.

Natalae Strain will be remembered in the Blake Funeral Chapel Memorial Grove.  Annual dedication service Sunday, June 11, 2017.
