Nicholas Girardin
Mr. Nicholas Elmyer Adam Girardin, age 33 years, passed away on Thursday, November 1, 2018 in Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre, surrounded by his family.

Nick was born in Thunder Bay on June 26, 1985. He was loyal and had a genuine love for his family and friends. Nick could always make you laugh or crack a smile. He enjoyed the outdoors, camping, fishing, playing in the snow and sliding on hills with the kids. He could often be found in the kitchen, cooking a meal for his family or baking and making a mess with the kids. Nick was artistically gifted, and this was evident through his paintings and drawings. He was also a natural born hockey player and the love for the game started before he could walk. Nick will be truly missed, but will live on in the hearts of those who knew him.

Nick is survived by his daughters, Bailey and Brooklyn Collins-Girardin and their mother Natalia Collins; his partner Kazlyn Cambly and stepson Dylan Cambly; mother Stacey Girardin-Chicago and step father Kevin Whalen; father Robert Piccolo and stepmother Bobbi-Lynn; grandparents Patsy and Dave Luc and Carol Whalen; siblings Desiree Girardin (Clayton), Lindsay Whalen (Cody), Anthony Piccolo (Shrae), Alyssa Piccolo and Christena Piccolo as well as his nephews Jayden and Colton Whalen and Lincoln Toback. Nick is also survived by his uncles and aunts: Glen Girardin (Traci), Chris Girardin, Steve Stankevicus, Jamie Whalen, Tina Pruys (Andrew), Jamie Piccolo (Lori) and Tammy Cramer (Randy); godfathers Bruce Oliver and Chistopher Tennant and many other extended family.

He was predeceased by his grandparents, June and Aldo Piccolo, Marilyn and Lionel Monteith, Don Whalen and Norman Chicago as well as his godmother Tammy Gordon.

Funeral Services for the late Mr. Nicholas Girardin will be held on Thursday, November 8, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. in the WESTFORT CHAPEL, 420 West Gore Street at James. A reception will follow at the Fort William First Nation Bingo Hall. Interment will take place at a later date. Visitation for family and friends will be held on Wednesday evening from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. in the Westfort Chapel.

Should friends so desire, in lieu of flowers, donations made in memory of Nick to the Trillium Foundation or PRO Kids would be greatly appreciated.
