Noel Roy

Noel Richard Roy, 65 years old, but 8 years old at heart, passed away peacefully in hospital on January 3, 2010.

Noel was supported by Avenue II and was a very dedicated worker for L.A.C.L. now known as Community Living of Thunder Bay for most of his adult years. He had spent his last years in St. Joseph’s Care Group and the Lakehead Psychiatric Hospital.

Noel will now be re-united with his Mom Agnes and Dad William, his brothers: Reginald, Leonard and Norman; sisters-in-law: Myrtle and Helen; his niece Charlene (Hoey) Donio and many of his friends who have gone to heaven before him, and have prepared for Noel’s arrival. Noel leaves to grieve his brother and best friend, Gordie (Nadine); four sisters: Patty (Chuck Mullen), Doris (Peter McInnis), Edna (Larry Hoey), and Rosemma; five brothers: William (Alene), Lawrence, Francis (Elaine), Cyril (Dorothy), Bernard (Florence); sisters-in-law: Joyce and Lorraine. Numerous nieces; nephews; grand nieces; and grand nephews also survive.

Funeral Services for the late Noel Roy will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, January 6, 2010 in the Chapel of Harbourview Funeral Centre, 499 North Cumberland Street, officiated by Rev. Mr. Dennis McDermott. Interment will take place in Sunset Memorial Gardens. Visitation for family and friends will be held one hour prior to the time of Service. If friends so desire, in lieu of flowers, donations made in Noel’s memory to Avenue II, Community Living of Thunder Bay, or to the Alzheimer Society of Thunder Bay, would be greatly appreciated.
