Nora Kostecki (Gannon)

With profound sadness the family of Nora Kostecki (Gannon) announces her sudden passing on May 30/21 at the age of 85. She is survived by her loving husband Edward, daughters Patti (Al Nardo), Donna Dekker and son Mike (Shelby). She is also survived by 4 grandsons Tyler (Chassy), Cody (Jamie Lee), Keith and Kevin, 3 granddaughters Melissa (Chris), Robyn and Mallory (Jason). She is also survived by 4 great grandchildren that she loved and was so proud of Cameron, Ava, Jackson and Jace.

On July 17, 1954 she married the love of her life, Edward Kostecki and together they raised 4 children on Arthur Street. While raising a young family, she worked at Sears, Thunder Bay District Health Unit and Bell Canada.

Nora spent over 25 years volunteering in the community and her church, offering her time at St. Vincent De Paul, Meals on Wheels and was a proud member of the CWL.

Nora would always enjoy a good casino wherever they travelled near and far.

Nora was predeceased by her parents (Thomas and Catherine Gannon), 2 infant brothers, brother Harold and her eldest son Edward Jr.

As per Nora’s wishes, cremation has taken place and a private burial will be held at a later date.

The family would like to thank the police, fire and paramedics for their care and professionalism during this difficult time.
