Mr. Olivo Zambon, age 91 years, passed away peacefully with family by his side on Wednesday, January 5, 2022 in St. Joseph's Hospital.

Olivo was born on August 4, 1930 in Cornuda, Treviso, Italy. He came to Canada in 1954 to start a new life. On April 4, 1959 he married the love of his life, Maria Caputo. Together they built their home in Port Arthur on Dufferin Street, raising their three boys. He was dedicated to his family, and loved spending time with them. He enjoyed gardening, making wine and sausage and sharing a meal with family and friends. He was employed for many years with Saskatchewan Wheat Pool, retiring in 1995.

Olivo is survived by his sons, Tony (Corina), Maurizio (Kellye) and Sergio; grandchildren Desiree (Ryan), James (Stephanie), Dillon and Sydney; great grandchildren, Rosslyn Olivia, Connor Michael and Isla Mae; brother in-law Tony (Janice) Caputo; nieces and nephews Tina, Carrie, Jon, Matt and Brendan Caputo, Roberto and Gianfranco Zambon, Roberto Pascarella and their families and cousin Gina in Australia as well as other extended family in Italy.

Predeceased by his beloved wife of 53 years, Maria; his parents Antonio and Maria Zambon, brother, Emilio (Natalina) Zambon; sister, Agnese (Vincenzo) Pascarella and sister in-law Filomena (Michele) Bernardo.

Funeral Services for the late Mr. Olivo Zambon will be held privately in the EVEREST FUNERAL CHAPEL, 299 Waverley Street at Algoma. Entombment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens. A recording of the service will be available on Wednesday, January 12, 2022 at everestofthunderbay.com
