It is with deep hearts that we announce the passing of Ozwald (Ozzie) Rummerfield on January 8, 2019. Ozzie was born to William (Bill) and Shirley Rummerfield on May 7, 1959 in Fort William, Ontario. He is one of seven siblings. Ozzie worked many jobs until he found the John Howard Society. There he worked maintenance, kitchen help and evening client support. Ozzie was most happy when he was busy working. He was always a willing and helpful volunteer. On his spare time he enjoyed reading, playing cards, doing crosswords, watching movies and listening to music.
He is survived by his father William; brothers Gordon, Howard (Cheryl) and Dave (Linda); sisters Brenda (Terry), Wanda (Mark) and Loretta as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. He was predeceased by his mother Shirley Rummerfield (nee Hoben) and sister-in-law Patsy Rummerfield (nee McPherson).
A Celebration of Ozzie’s Life will take place on Saturday, January 19, 2019 at Jenkens Funeral Home from 1:00 – 3:00 p.m. Should friends so desire, donations made in memory of Ozzie to the John Howard Society or the Humane Society would be greatly appreciated.
