Park MacKay

With heavy hearts we announce the passing of Park Sargent MacKay. After 73 wonderful years Park succumbed due to complications after a stroke on December 18, 2017 at Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre. He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years Vicki, children Kelly, Jennifer, Jordan, son in-law Glenn and daughter in-law Charlene, brother Edward and sister’s in-law Betty, Diane and Linda and brother’s-in-law Jack and Doug. He was predeceased by his parents Grace and Angus, sister Mary and brother Bert.

Park was an avid golfer and could always be found at the Thunder Bay Country Club. He enjoyed spending time at the lake, woodworking, watching football, picking his guitar and spending time with his four grandchildren. Park was never one to turn down a home improvement project or a wee dram of scotch. His family and friends will miss him dearly. We rejoice that he has found the clearing at the end of the path and look forward to meeting him there. 

A family graveside service will be held in the spring at the beginning of golf season. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated. Online condolences may be made at www.sargentandson.com.
