It is with deep sadness that the family of Pasquale DiPaolo, age 86 years, announce his peaceful passing on Wednesday, February 28, 2024 with his loving wife and family by his side.

Pasquale was born on April 7, 1937 in Castelmauro, Italy to Nicola and Teresa (nee Juliani) DiPaolo. At a young age, Pasquale learned to work hard on his family farm. Later in his teenage years, he met Teresa (Sisina) Sticca and they were married on February 16, 1957.

In search of a better life, Pasquale immigrated to Fort William, Ontario in 1957 with his wife. Pasquale started work in construction and had a strong work ethic that continued throughout his life. He was always eager and available to help his family and friends with any repairs or building projects. No job was too difficult for him to complete.

Pasquale enjoyed sharing many Italian traditions with his children and grandchildren. We all learned how to press grapes to make wine, make delicious sausages that he was well known for, and make tomato sauce that we enjoyed together as a family. Getting together every Sunday with his family for spaghetti and meatballs was one of his greatest joys. There was nothing he loved more than sharing many laughs together and stories about his time in Italy. In the summer, he could be found working in his garden and then in the winter watching his Toronto Maple Leafs. Pasquale was a longtime member of St. Agnes Church and the Davinci Centre where he volunteered countless hours.

Pasquale is survived by his wife Teresa, with whom he spent 66 wonderful years, four daughters Mary (Tom), Eva (Kevin), Loretta (Murray) and Linda (Jamie). He is lovingly remembered by his grandchildren Natalie (Shane), Ashley (Brian), Justin (Claudine), Lindsay (Drew), Amanda (Marc), Megan, Laura, Jacob and Thomas. Pasquale was lucky enough to spend time with his great-grandchildren Emmitt, Kyan, Ava and Jake. Pasquale is predeceased by his parents, siblings and grandson infant James Pasquale.

The family would like to thank Dr. Arlene Capricci for the exceptional care given to our dad for so many years, and the compassionate and caring nurses, doctors and PSW’s at the TBRHSC especially those on 2A.

Funeral services for the late Mr. Pasquale DiPaolo will be held on Wednesday, March 6, 2024 with family and friends gathering in St. Agnes Roman Catholic Church, for the Funeral Mass at 10:30 am, celebrated by Father James Panikulam. Entombment will follow in Our Lady of Charity Mausoleum at St. Andrew’s Cemetery. Visitation will be held one hour before the Funeral Mass at 9:30 am.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Westfort Chapel, 420 West Gore Street at James.

Pasquale was a loyal friend, a devoted husband and father, a kind and caring grandfather and great-grandfather. Although he is gone, he will never be forgotten and the impact he has made on our family will forever live on. Riposa in pace Nono ♥️
