We will miss our mother dearly. She was an amazing woman who had unwavering faith and strong spiritual convictions. She taught her children to be honest, caring and to focus on the important things in life. She was kind, loving, determined, brave and fiercely independent.
Her zest for life made her laugh out loud, be silly and just have fun. When we reminisce of our time together we will remember the crazy and funny things she said and did.
For her love of hockey and devotion to her grandchildren, nothing stopped Nona from attending every game, swimming lesson, gymnastic and dance event. She was so proud of her grandchildren and loved them very much.
As the second eldest sibling of 6 she instinctually watched over everyone. She enjoyed every visit, ‘sister trip’ and phone call with her siblings.
She cherished the long lasting friendships made through work, neighborhood, hockey, ringette, and her Red Hat group.
Our mother loved her husband Robert very much and was blessed to have married her best friend, the love of her life. Her relationship with our father’s family here in Thunder Bay and in Italy was important to her and it helped keep his memory alive.
Our mother left behind a legacy of love. She will be in our thoughts and hearts forever.
“Speak to me and I will hear
Never far I am always near
Be brave my love do not cry
See you again it's not goodbye”
Interment and Celebration of Life will follow at a future date.
Donations in lieu of flowers to the Ontario Lung Association or TBRHS Foundation-ICU would be greatly appreciated.
