Patricia Brown, affectionately known to many as Nana, peacefully passed at her home at Pioneer Ridge loved and surrounded by all of her children on Monday, December 6, 2021.
The strength of our family ties is a testament to her love and guidance to our family. We were blessed to have had our Mom with us for such a long time.
Mom was born in 1931 in Cobalt, Ontario, moving to Brantford at a very young age. It was there she met and fell in love with a handsome musician, Russ Brown. She and Dad were married soon after, sharing 69 years together until his passing in 2020.
She was dedicated to raising her children and worked hard to ensure we grew up in a home filled with warmth and laughter. She gave us the gift of humour that has helped each of us through our lives no matter the challenges we faced.
We are comforted to know she has reunited with Dad. She will be lovingly remembered by her children, son, Douglas (Joleen), daughters, Connie (Bob), Leslie, Melanie (Mark), twelve grandchildren and ten great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her siblings Betty and Robert, Junior.
The family would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to Plaza Three Staff at Pioneer Ridge for their care and compassion for Mom during her time there. We are in awe of the wonderful people who give so much of themselves to support and care for our loved ones.
A service will be held on Thursday, December 9th, 2021, at 10:30 a.m. at First Presbyterian Church, 639 Grey Street.
As directed by the Province of Ontario and the Bereavement Authority of Ontario, a record of attendance is required by everyone attending the service as well as wearing of masks or face coverings.
For family and friends unable to attend in person, a link to the service can be obtained from the family on request.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
