It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of our mother, Grandma and Granny, Patricia Richmond. Patricia passed away peacefully in her sleep on September 30, 2017.
Pat was a hardworking and dedicated woman who enjoyed her career and coworkers in the insurance business for many years. She was very fashion conscious and greatly appreciated the plentiful and thoughtful gifts from her family that contributed to her style and enjoyment. Mom loved spending time with her husband, Donald James Richmond of 59 years travelling to lakeside resorts where many happy memories were made. Enjoying family life in their beautiful backyard was a pastime we all remember.
Patricia will be lovingly remembered and dearly missed by her daughters Shannon (John) Gourley, Bridget (James) Speer, her son Patrick Richmond, her beloved grandchildren Aaron Gourley, James Gourley, Jaime Mateush, Melissa Chamberlain, Derek Shaffer, Sascha Warren, Jazmine Richmond and Cheyanne Richmond, great grandchildren Matthew, Owen, Alyssa, Jack, Isla, Holden, Kara, Ethan, Katelyn and Sophie, son-in-law Steve Shaffer as well as by numerous other close family. She was predeceased by her husband Donald, son David, daughter Susanna, her parents Jack and Mable Jamieson and brothers Donald and Jack.
As per Patricia’s wishes, a Graveside Service will be held on Friday, October 6, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Riverside Cemetery, with Rev. Harold Hunt presiding. As expressions of sympathy memorials to the Ontario Heart & Stroke Foundation would be appreciated. On-line condolences may be made at www.sargentandson.com.
