Mr. Patrick Cyril Petrunak, age 65 years, passed away peacefully after a courageous battle with cancer at St. Joseph's Hospice on Saturday, March 26, 2011 with family by his side.
Born and raised in Port Arthur. Patrick was employed at Provincial Papers for 31 years until his retirement in 1997. Patrick's favourite pastime was spending time at his camp on Arrow Lake, he enjoyed fishing, hunting and spending time with family and friends, his grandchildren were his pride and joy.
Patrick is survived by his girlfriend Levia Berardi; son Cory (Diana) and daughter Crystal (Hugh) Fennell; stepdaughters Lidia (Dean) Whellan and Angela (Dave) LeClaire; grandchildren Brooklyn and Colby Petrunak, Macoy and Keegan Fennell and Laurenne Whellan; sister Ann (Terry) Cambly and nephews Mike and Chris Cambly. He was predeceased by his parents Paul and Maxine Petrunak.
Visitation for family and friends will be held from 5 until 8 p.m. on Wednesday, March 30, 2011 in the Everest Chapel, 299 Waverley Street at Algoma. A private family interment will be held at a later date in Riverside Cemetery. If friends so desire, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or St. Joseph's Care Group-Hospice Unit would be greatly appreciated.
