With profound sadness, we announce the sudden passing of our beloved son, brother and uncle, Patrick Poirier, on Wednesday, July 19, 2017 at the age of 29. 

Patrick is survived by his parents, Réjean and Phyllis, sister Kimberly Nott (Ky), niece Melina, nephew Brolan, step-grandmother Marlene Kay-Mitchell and best friend Colin Strong, along with many aunts, uncles and cousins. 

He was predeceased by his grandparents, Edward and Marian Mitchell, Robert and Marie-Ange Poirier, aunt Lorraine Hanover and cousin Christopher Weston.

Patrick was a gentle and kind soul. He always looked for the good in everything and would do anything for anyone. He acquired the nickname “The Gentle Giant” growing up. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends. 

Patrick was a dedicated and respected employee of Parklane Town Homes, North44 Property Management.

Funeral Services for the late Mr. Patrick Poirier will be held on Monday, July 24, 2017 with family and friends gathering in Holy Family Catholic Church, 2055 Rosslyn Road, Thunder Bay for the Funeral Mass at 11:00am. Visitation will be held from 10:00am until the time of the service. Cremation has taken place. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Thunder Bay and District Humane Society to honour Patrick’s love of animals. 

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Westfort Chapel, 420 West Gore Street at James.
