It is with broken hearts, we announce the sudden but peaceful passing of Paul William Budnik, age 58, just before midnight on Saturday, January 29, 2022, surrounded by his girls.

Paul started in the Janitorial profession after highschool. In 1990 he purchased G.A. McEachern Services along with his wife. Paul’s passion was carpet cleaning, water restoration, trauma cleanup and floor stripping & refinishing: hence his reason for starting Carpet Masters in 1995. As per his wishes, Carpet Masters will continue to be run by his family, in his honour.

Paul was respected and well liked by everyone he met; both personally and professionally. He always had a smile on his face and a whitty comeback for everyone.

Paul will be deeply missed by his wife Holly of 32 years, daughters, Christie (Jason), and Wendy as well as his pride and joys, his grandsons, Brayden, Johnny and Carson.  He will also be greatly missed by Nicki and her son Jaylin, whom he considered another daughter and grandson, as well as, Shawn and Emile. He is also survived by numerous other relatives.

He is predeceased by his parents Bill and Marion Budnik and in-laws Clifford and Jean Forester, as well as numerous other relatives.

The family would like to thank the staff of TBRHSC for their dedicated care and the comfort provided to Paul and his family.

Cremation has taken place and a celebration of Paul’s life will be held in July. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Alzheimer Society and the Thunder Bay Humane Society would be greatly appreciated.

Dad, enjoy your palm trees while sitting pool side and feeding your birds.
Forever in our hearts, always on our minds.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Westfort Chapel, 420 West Gore St.
