Obituary Candle

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Paul Joseph Boudreau, affectionately known as Boudy or Bud, who left us on May 9 2025 following a life filled with love, laughter, and service to others. Born on September 9, 1953, in Nipigon, (Red Rock) Ontario, Paul was a beacon of kindness and strength to all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Paul was the cherished son of Fernand and Wellemine Boudreau, who preceded him in death along with his beloved siblings: Gilles, Gyven, Raymond, and Marie Malley, and his in-laws, Mary and Harvey Daub. Paul's legacy continues through his loving wife, Margaret Anderson, with whom he shared many beautiful years. Together, they created a nurturing home filled with joy and cherished memories.

As a father, Paul was deeply devoted to his two children, Melissa Sellers and Derek Boudreau, and their spouses, Mike Sellers and Jenni-Lyn Boudreau. He took immense pride in their achievements and always encouraged them to pursue their passions. Paul's love extended to his grandchildren, Sydney and Ethan Sellers, and Carter Boudreau, who brought him endless joy and were a source of great pride.

In addition to his immediate family, Paul leaves behind a loving extended family, including his siblings Louise, John and family Zechner; Jeannette, Steven and family Carruthers; Daniel, Natalie and family Boudreau; Ron, Lynn and family Boudreau; Marcel, Nancy and family Boudreau; and Sharon, Rick, Rebecca Walker, and Christy (Keith) Townsend. Each of these relationships enriched Paul's life and were cherished dearly.

Professionally, Paul was a dedicated firefighter with the Stratford Fire Department for 27 years. His service was marked by unwavering commitment and empathy, as he always put the needs of others first. Paul's courage and dedication were evident every day as he selflessly worked to protect and serve those around him.

Beyond his professional life, Paul was a passionate athlete, having moved to Stratford at the young age of 15 to play Junior A and B hockey. His love for the sport was only matched by his love for the community, which he embraced wholeheartedly. Stratford was not just a place of residence for Paul; it was his home. His warm and approachable nature made it common to hear the friendly call of "Hey, Boudy!" from acquaintances and friends alike, no matter where he traveled. Paul touched the lives of so many, and people only needed to meet him once to understand how special he truly was. As we remember Paul Joseph Boudreau, we honor a man who embodied love, dedication, and community spirit. His memory will forever live on in the hearts of his family, friends, and all who were fortunate enough to know him. May he rest in peace, knowing he has left an indelible mark on the lives of so many.

A private family gathering in celebration of Paul's life will take place. The family welcomes donations to be made in Paul's name to the Huron-Perth VON day program through the W. G. Young Funeral Home, 430 Huron St, Stratford, ON. To those who helped him and his family along his journey, words cannot express our gratitude and appreciation.
