Paul Peltola

Paul Matias Peltola, age 87, passed away in his home on Monday, June 27, 2022. Paul was born on December 22, 1934 to Tyko and Martha Peltola, he was their second child. He attended local schools, then trade school, becoming a journeyman carpenter in the mid fifties.

Paul met the love of his life, Maryann in 1956 and they married on February 23, 1957, moving into the house Paul built on Wardrope Avenue, and soon after they welcomed a son, Wayne in September 1957.

Paul worked construction most of his life spending over 30 years with Stead & Lindstrom General Contractors. He retired in 1988, and had a long well-deserved and much enjoyed 34-year retirement. Paul and Maryann travelled extensively and had a passion for life together that few experience. They celebrated 60 years of marriage just before Maryann’s passing in 2017.

Funeral Services for Paul will be held on Wednesday, July 6, 2022 at 11:00 am in the chapel of Harbourview Funeral Centre with Pastor Nancy Ringham officiating. Visitation for family and friends will take place one hour prior to the service time.
