After a long happy life of 72 years, it is with heavy hearts our family announces the peaceful passing of Paulette Cloutier at Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre in Thunder Bay, Ontario on December 13, 2021. She was hospitalized for almost 1 month battling her illness before passing with her son Serge by her side.

Beloved mother of Natalie (Luc) Fortier, Serge (Theresa) Cloutier, Marc (Samantha) Cloutier, Vincent (Mark) Cloutier. She will be sadly missed by her grandchildren Melanie Fortier, Bryan (Jessie) Fortier, Guy (Alison) Cloutier, Reanne (Jonathan) Burgess, Jordan Knorz, Austin (Celine) Cloutier, Summer Cloutier, Aiden Cloutier and great grandchildren Ares Winton, Chantal Fortier, and Bryson Burgess as well as many nieces and nephews.

Pre-deceased by her parents Napoleon and Elianne (nee Brunet) Cheff, her daughter Renelle Cloutier, and granddaughter Stephanie Fortier. She was the sister of the late Romuald (Gabrielle) Cheff, late Rheal (late Rollande) Cheff, Jeanette (late Bill) Wood, late Rudolphe (late Rita) Cheff, late Rose-Anna (late Albert) Dupuis, late Marie (late Allan) Clermont, Georgette (Leandre) Genier, Therese (late Gordon) Christo, Gilberte (late Gilbert) Aumont, late Suzanne (late Gerry) Robinson, Fernande (Rejean) Genier, Beatrice (late Jean-Louis) Lizotte, late Leandre (late Gabrielle) Cheff, late Fernand (late Olivette) Cheff, late Joseph Cheff, late Cecile (late Emile) Rossy.

Paulette was born on September 15, 1949 in Cochrane, Ontario. She fell in love and married the late Adelard Cloutier on September 16, 1967 and had five children together. They later divorced amicably but remained friends. Paulette took pride in her family and had great love for her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Those that know Paulette will remember her for her kindness and generosity, her smile and her sense of humour along with her musical talents, and of course her wonderful cooking and baking skills. She also had great love for her dogs. She developed great friends and relationships wherever she lived and will be sadly missed by many friends. She was most happy when surrounded by the people she loved.

A celebration of life will be held in Nakina, Ontario, at a later date where she will be placed to rest with her late daughter Renelle Cloutier at her request.
