June 7, 1929 – July 11, 2024

Pauline was born in Vancouver, B.C. and as a young girl during World War II she was interned in Greenwood, B.C.  At the end of the war, she moved to London, Ontario where she graduated from St. Angela's college. In 1951 Pauline joined the RCAF taking a Fighter Control Operator course at the Radar and Communications School in Clinton, Ontario. She was stationed in St. Hubert, Quebec and spent the last 6 months at Foymount Station, Ontario before being discharged in 1954 with the rank of LAW (Leading Air Women).

At the age of 26, Pauline came to Thunder Bay to meet a girlfriend. The Port Arthur School of Nursing was recruiting, so she stayed and spent three years at St. Joseph’s. It was during this time she met Bill and they married in 1958 after she graduated.

Pauline was a member of St. Elizabeth CWL, the Slovak Legion 129 and the Ladies Auxiliaries.

Pauline is predeceased by her husband William (Bill), father and brother. She is survived by her children Stephanie and Andrew (Stellina); grandchildren Heather (Brian) Reigh, Ashley (Ryan) Mulvihill, Matthew (Rachel), Alicia and Caitlin; great grandchildren Lance, Reece, Christian, Philip, Evan and Bradyn. Also survived by foster sons Frankie and Freddie.

A private Mass will be held by the family. If friends so desire, memorial donations to the St. Joseph's Foundation of Thunder Bay (Hospice Unit or Hogarth Riverview Manor) will be appreciated.

Thank you to all who were kind and helped Pauline during her lifetime, the Veteran’s VIP program, clergy and special thanks to all the staff at Hogarth. We truly appreciate the care and compassion she received over the past two years.
