Pedro Santos de Leon, was born on February 25th, 1921 in Talavera, Nueva Ecija, Philippines. Unfortunately, there was a miss communication when coming to Canada and his birth year is written as 1925. He was a World War II veteran and was a tailor by profession until his retirement in 1996. He immigrated to Canada in 1984 with his wife and half of his children. After 103 years, he passed away peacefully at St. Joseph’s Hospital on October 30th, 2024 with family by his side.

Pedro’s passion was gardening. Pedro always called his children to enjoy the fruits of his labors during harvesting time. He also enjoyed fishing and camping and loved playing his Xbox to the wee hours of the night, always saying “one more game to beat my record” before bedtime.

Pedro will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his daughter Patricia and family; daughter Ofelia and family; son Marcelino’s (deceased) family; son Rafael’s (deceased) family; son Elmer and family; daughter Merlie and family; son Ronald and family; son Louie and family; and daughter Lorelie.

Pedro was predeceased by his wife Anacleta, daughter Emer and sons, Zacharias, Marcelino, Rafael, and Rodrigo.

The family of Pedro would like to thank the staff from TBRHSC ER Department and 2C, St. Joseph Hospital 4N, Dr. Lyon, Dr. Bassuony and Dr. BhanBhai.
