It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Domenic on January 06, 2016 with his loving wife and family by his side.

Domenic was born January 01, 1928 in Siderno Italy. He arrived to Canada in April of 1950 to find a better life and opportunity for his family.

He was proud as an Italian and blessed to be a Canadian. In Canada he was lucky to find work, he worked very hard but like many others who were coming to a new beginning in a new land he worked at many jobs in many places in Fort William and throughout Ontario until opening Roma Bakery with his wife Maria in November of 1962.

Domenic was a kind man who respected all. For Domenic family was everything, and taking care of them was his only priority. Instilling good values was very important to him and one of many lessons taught was “to receive respect you must give respect”. Above all else he insisted the importance of staying close to each other.

He enjoyed visiting with his family, gardening, making wine, playing cards and traveling to Mexico.

He also found great pleasure fishing and hunting with the boys at 7 Bear Lodge. Many know that there was always room at his table to break bread and share a glass of wine with him and his growing family. Domenic was a generous man who never expected anything in return and truly believed that everyone deserved a chance. Domenic is survived by his wife of 66 years Maria.
