Phyllis Shippam

The family announces with great sorrow her peaceful passing at Roseview Manor on Monday, November 26, 2018 at 99 years of age.

Phyllis was predeceased by her husband Fred on November 28, 1993. She is lovingly remembered by her children: Fred (Diane), Glen (Grace), Margaret, Wayne (Liz), Dale (Peg) and 11 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.

Phyllis was extremely talented, as were many people of her generation. She made snow suits out of overcoats, many beautiful quilts, a small mountain of afghans and beautiful sweaters both big and small. Her buns were the best and she always knew what to bake to make her grand kids feel special. She was a kind, accepting and very smart lady. She was full of love for others and will be so sadly missed by those who knew and loved her.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, November 30, 2018 in the Chapel of Harbourview Funeral Centre, presided by Rev. Susan Ivany of Westminster United Church. Interment in Riverside Cemetery will follow the reception. As expressions of sympathy, donations to Toys for Tots or Westminster United Church would be appreciated in lieu of flowers.
